I had my level 2 ultrasound today due to "advanced age" and the baby measured 18 weeks 1 day which is perfect. The baby appeared healthy too with no visible defects. I elected to have the Quad Screen along with an additional ultrasound to check for any more defects.
The baby is a girl which made me cry. Even the ultra sound technician cried! I then went to my regular ob/gyn to turn in my results and for my four month check. I have gained eight pounds in the last four months which honestly is incredible for me. I gain on average of 80-100 pounds with all my other pregnancy with the exception of my first pregnancy. The doctor said I'm doing great and my blood pressure is excellent! Even with the wonderful excitement from the "girl news" my blood pressure was 120 over 78.
My next appointment is the end of May and then the first week in June I have another level 2 to check the chambers of the heart and the Quad Screen comparison.
I am just on clould nine today!
