    6WEC#40 will begin on Sunday, December 2nd and runs through Saturday, January 12th.

    Sign up!
    #1. Tell us how many days a week you plan to exercise.
    #2. Make a note of your beginning measurements. You do not have to post them here if you aren't comfortable doing that. Just be sure to write them down someplace safe to compare with your measurements at the end of the challenge. Click here for a picture that shows you where to measure.

    -Under arms, around chest
    -Fullest part of chest
    -Ribcage
    -Waist
    -Hips
    -Upper arm x 2
    -Thigh x 2
    -Weight

    Don't forget to check in!
    #1. Look for the thread each day in this forum. It will be titled something like "6WEC#40, Week 1, Day 1, Sun, Dec 2"
    #2. Tell us whether you exercised, took a rest day or a sick day, or slugged it.

    Win something!
    #1. The 3 who lose the most will earn a ribbon. Its determined first by inches and then by pounds.
    #2. Those who complete all 6 weeks of the challenge without getting slugged will earn a slug free button. Sick days do not count as slugs.

    sky, do you have any idea who has earned the most slug free's? i'm always looking for new ways to challenge myself. maybe going for the most slug frees is something i could do.
    with #39, i'll have earned 16.

      I'll do 5 days a week! Although after the 2nd of January i will not be able to be online cause i'm moving cross country. My husband comes back from iraq on jan 6th., but i will defiantely come back when i can and give my results!

              Ohhhhhh We have to pick the number of days per week. Ok. Suggestions needed. The last time I exercised beyond shoveling the walk or hauling in firewood was approximately 24-25 years ago. I have the feeling if I pick 5 days a week, I will be dead by the end of week one.

                chicklady, pick what you will be comfortable with. the point is to get moving
                and stay committed.
                if your regular exercise on a daily basis was 25 yr's ago, i would suggest going for 3 days. it will get you moving but won't be overwhelming causing you to get frustrated.

                you post you measurements in this thread. if you don't want to share the details, just make sure they are recorded in a personal journal or something so you can refer back to them at the end of the 6 weeks.

                      My measurements:
                      Weight: 125.2 this morning
                      Waist: 29inches
                      Hips: 37 inches
                      Rt Thigh: 21.5
                      Lt Thigh: 21 (weird there is a difference)
                      Chest: 33.5
                      Arm: 11 x 2

                        not so weird, danita. many many of us have different measurements in the thigh and arms. consider yourself "normal".
