    Ok, that will work. We don't get back until February 4th, though, will that be ok? And no problem with my name. It's long and dorky and not the name I usually use online.

      shoot, i didn't know when you were coming back. that is over a full week after the next challenge starts. and it's past the time when awards are given.

      here's a couple other suggestions:
      • tag along with us for the accountablility and just forego the awards this time around. i'll quit charting you when you leave.
      • join up in one of the monthly challenges that is going on right now and you'd still have time to earn the december award and if you joined something in january, you could easily make your goal, whatever it is, by the time you leave. you get back on feb 4 which is time enough to join any of the february challenges.

              I have had a VERY hard time making myself exercise regularly, so this is just what I need! Count me in for 4 days. And since I haven't done this before, can you explain what would earn someone a slug? I read the rules, but didn't see it in there. Thanks!!

                the link is in the first post of this thread but that link take you directly to the info you need.

                a slug is something you don't want to earn. no, nada, never... they be slimy little creatures that will mess you up. let me see if i can explain this ...........
                you are signed up for 4 days. that means you have 3 spare days. if you take 4 rest days in a week, there is no way you can exercise 4 days so one of the rest days would be a slug day. if you earn even 1 slug during the entire 6 weeks challenge, you can not earn the slug free button. however, even if you get slugged, you would be eligible for a ribbon if your losses are good enough.

                      ok i really need to add some exercise into my life so i would like to pledge 4 days. Does it matter what exercise you do or can it be walking or something slow paced?

                        walking works
                        biking works
                        jumping jacks works
                        snow shoveling works
                        just about anything you can do, works.
                        except sitting on your tush and doing nothing. that doesn't work.

                          so its us to set up what the exercise is and how long we are gonna do it for? just trying to get my head around it

                            yep, entirely up to you. you can mix it up or do the same things over. the time length of what you do is up to you. all i am concerned with, for the charts, is that you exercised or took a rest day.

                            if you are in one of the other challenges, say the abs challenge, you can use that exercise here. you would just report that you did ab work. if you walk, you will report that you walked. if you want to go into more detail, you could report you walked 5 miles.
                            you might work out 30 minutes one day and 45 the next. that's okay too. you do not have to work out a set number of minutes each time.

                              2. Decide how many days a week you promise to exercise. The challenge weeks run from Sunday to Saturday. For charting purposes, you must sign up before the challenge begins. .
                              if you want in, you need to get signed up today or tomorrow. come sunday, it will be too late.
