  • Sign up for #51 6 Week Exercise Challenge

    The #51 6WEC will begin on Sunday, March 8 and runs through Saturday, April 18. You have 1 week to sign up, beginning today. .



    There is a cut off date for signing up and being charted so please read the official rules
    Official 6WEC Rules and Where To Measure.
    The rules are adjusted every so often so please read them to be updated on any changes.



    Sign up!
    1. Tell us how many days a week you will commit to exercising.

    2. Make a note of your beginning measurements. You do not have to post them here, in this thread, if you aren't comfortable doing that. Just be sure to write them down someplace safe to compare with your measurements at the end of the challenge. Click here for a picture that shows you where to measure. The following stats are the only ones that will be considered for the ribbon awards.

    -Under arms, around chest
    -Fullest part of chest
    -Ribcage
    -Waist
    -Hips
    -Upper arm x 2
    -Thigh x 2
    -Weight

    Don't forget to check in!
    1. Look for a new thread each day in this forum. It will be titled something like "6WEC#51, Week 1, Day 1, Sunday, March 8"

    2. Tell us whether you exercised, took a rest day or a sick day.

    3. PLEASE try to post daily! If you can not post daily, please try to post at least a couple times a week.

    2 Ways to win something!
    1. The 3 Challengers who lose the most will earn a ribbon. Winners are determined first by inches and then by pounds, using the body stats listed above.


    2. Those who complete all 6 weeks of the challenge without getting slugged will earn a slug free button. Sick days do not count as slugs.

    What's a slug, you ask?
    A slug is something you don't want to earn. If you are signed up for 4 days. that means you have 3 spare days. If you take 4 rest days in a week, there is no way you can exercise 4 days so one of the rest days would be a slug day. If you earn even 1 slug during the entire 6 weeks challenge, you can not earn the slug free button. however, even if you get slugged, you would be eligible for a ribbon if your losses are good enough.

        Hi Jimmie

        I am not allowed to officially start exercising until after I see the consultant on March 16th BUT I am allowed to walk and have been doing balancing exercises on my wii with no probs so please count me in! I will start with walking only until I get the go-ahead from my surgeon.

        I will say three times a week.

          I'm in again!! Haven't been impressive with the weight loss but the inches lost are MANY!! Thank you to my weight bench! I want better weight loss results this time so I'm in for 5 days per week.

            Me, please, not measuring until the end of 50 so I'll add those in later, 3 day min!

            Fullest Chest 40
            Ribcage- 34.75
            Waist 33.5
            Hip 41
            Upper arm 13 x2
            Thigh 23.75 x 2 total is 259.25
            183 lbs.
