  • #61 6 Week Exercise Challenge Sign Up

    The #61 6 WEC will begin on Sunday, May 2 and runs through Saturday, June 12

    You have 1 week to sign up, beginning now.

    If you are not familiar with the 6 WEC, please read the Official 6WEC Rules and Where To Measure.


    Sign up!
    1. Tell us how many days a week you will commit to exercising.

    2. Make a note of your beginning measurements.

    You do not have to post your measurements here, in this thread, if you aren't comfortable doing that. Just be sure to write them down someplace safe to compare with your measurements at the end of the challenge.
    Please see the Official 6WEC Rules for a picture that shows you where to measure. The following stats are the only ones that will be considered for the ribbon awards.
    -Under arms, around chest
    -Fullest part of chest
    -Ribcage
    -Waist
    -Hips
    -Upper arm x 2
    -Thigh x 2
    -Weight

    Don't forget to check in!
    Look for a new thread each day in this forum. It will be titled something like "6WEC#61, Week 1, Day 1, Sunday, May 2"

    Tell us whether you exercised, took a rest day or a PTO day. {I will adjust rest days and PTO days as needed}

    PLEASE try to post daily! If you can not post daily, please try to post at least a couple times a week.

    Two awards can be won and earned!
    1. The 3 Challengers who lose the most will earn a ribbon. Winners are determined first by inches and then by pounds, using the body stats listed above.
    Slugged Challengers are still able to win a ribbon so if you get slugged, continue to post.

    2. Those who complete all 6 weeks of the challenge without getting slugged will earn a slug free button.
    Each Challenger can use up to 5 PTO days that will not count against them.

                  Sign me up for 30 min trampoline 7 days a week and about ten minutes strength training 3 times per week.

                    1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
                    what the rungs mean to me:
                    rung 1 - more veggies
                    rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
                    rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
                    rung 4 - berries, melon
                    rung 5 - wine -
                    rung 6 - beans, hummus
                    rung 7 - other fruits
                    rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
                    rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
                    Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
                    (on to pre-maintenance)

                      WELCOME to the challenge! and gotcha.

                      it won't matter the type of exercise so you won't be limited or booted out if you do trampoline 5 days and walking on 2 days. before i actually add 7 days next to your name, are you sure you want to commit to that many days? it doesn't allow for any leeway for busy days or even time for your body to rest.
