Hi Everybody,
I'm new to the forum but have been doing Atkins for 7 weeks now. I'm in extended induction and have only lost 8 pounds...it's a little discouraging but I'm noticing a difference in my clothes more than anything so I'm happy about that...
My question is this...I recently had my annual doctor's check up and have just been informed that my "thyroid levels are slightly elevated". What does this mean? The call from my doctor's office was from the front desk administrator so she couldn't tell me what that meant, and I haven't been able to get a hold of my doctor in person...I have to go back next month for a follow up but I don't want to wait until then to find out what this actually means...I know that my thyroid directly affects my metablism which affecst my ability to lose weight, so I'm curious...this could potentially explain why I have such difficulty with weight loss...
Any body able to shed some light on this in lamens terms???
