Hi Baby,
Any thoughts on calories? I wonder if I'm eating too many. Did you find you had to reduce your intake because of the thyroid thang?
I'm working on increasing fats - cream cheese has been very helpful!

I honestly never really monitored my calorie intake. I used fitday for a couple months, and my calories were always where they should be, or less even. So I stopped using fitday, cuz I figured I was always on target without even trying. And if you notice in the book, Dr A even says that typically, most people reduce thier calorie intake while on Atkins without even trying, which is why you dont really have to pay too much attention to them.
Whats helped me is upping my fat intake. The more fat I eat, the more I lose. What a weird concept. One week I ate fatty burgers for lunch everyday, and everyday I dropped 1 pound. For 5 days straight. Sometimes I'll go back to eating fatty hambuger everyday when I wanna boost my loss. And it works. But I can only stand so much ground beef in a week! hahaStart 4/03 256lbs REstart 2/16/04 235lbs

Re: Great forum! Thanks!
Could you just tell me what you mean by 'tweak it a little'? I'd like to know what you've done to be so successful. I'm new at both thyroid & Atkins and am just so ignorant about everything concerning these and am desperate for information and help. Thank you so much.Originally posted by BabyPhat1Thank you
