I lost five pounds my first week on Induction, and since then nothing. I checked the recommendations for reasons for stalls in the book, and one raised a red flag. I have noticed over the course of the past few years that I would get cold much more easily than I used to, but I wrote it off as being a symptom of working a night shift and getting acclimated to our mild Southern California climate.
However, I got a thermometer and checked my temp as required in the book. I was shocked to find out one morning that my oral temp was 96.4! (I thought you were like borderline dead at that temp...)
Since I've done some more reading, it seems obvious that hypothyroid is much more prevalent among women than among men because of hormonal issues.
I was wondering if there were any men on the board with hypothyroid, and if anyone could share info and advice on how to talk to a doctor about it and get taken seriously, and anything else I might need to know before a diagnosis.
Thanks.
