questionable thyroid

I just had the blood work/test to see if I have a throid problem. How long does it take for the test results to come back? I also took a breathing test, What is that for? I'm not real satisfied with this DR. He did not explain any options, he just said we would do the test and see what we have. I'm just worried of what the results will be then what our plan will be. Can anyone offer advice or explain what all this means? what does it mean to have a throid problem? On my breathing test it showed a slight slow motabolism, what does this mean? I'm confused, and lost ...please help.... urplequ:

Don't know much about thyroid, but I go to WebMD for my medical questions as I think its pretty good.

relax the test results should be ready in a few days and if they comeback positive for low thyroid then your dotor will run some more to determine the exact type you have unless he di so already and you will be given a Rx for thyroid hormones with will assit your body in getting your metabolism back up to normal and your weight loss going good.
