  • Hypo and weird weight loss

I have been exercising and doing what I am supposed to do I went a bit over carbs on Wednesday but not illegally. I am at TOM now and I have gained 5 pounds which is normal. Is it noramal for a person with hypo to have a lot of stalls in progress. I am losing inches but, I really need to lose some pounds to take some pressure off my joints. I am finding with all the exercise I am getting quite achy I know if the weight would drop so would the soreness of my overexerted joints. I have been waiting 7 weeks for a pound to leave me and still nothing. I don't remember stalling like this before when I wasn't exercising it was a lot quicker by now I had lost over 30 pounds I am still sitting at 20. I don't know if I should get my thyroid checked when you lose does your requiremnts for thyroid go up or down I suppose it depends on the person. I think I'll get mine checked and see where I am at.

My doctor requires me to check my thyroid every 6 months (or I don't get my prescription refilled!) and he did tell me that as I am losing weight, we might want to keep a close eye on it to see if that has any effect.

Personally, I have had at least 2-3 stalls of anywhere from 2-8 weeks. Stalls being no weight loss, but I havent' been measuring yet to see if I really was losing inches, but I think I was for some of it.

My weight loss is slower, but since I started exercising somewhat this month (something I have had trouble with due to fibromyalgia) I have lost 7 lbs so far this month, where I was normally only losing about 5. I had been stalled from Oct-Dec (but had cheated a few times too).

But I look on the bright side - slower weight loss = better chance of keeping it off and less skin sag! I'm in this WOE long term, not just to lose weight, because I see what a difference it has on my health and how I am feeling (and losing the weight is the bonus).
    Start date: 2/22/04 347/222/135 ~ 5'2"
    STAC Restart: 1/05/09
    306/229/135 ~ 5'2" 77 lbs down!

    Goal #1: 247 - 2nd 10% (59lbs, 247, also 100 lbs total loss) - Met 1/4/10!!!
    Goal #2: 241 - Halfway to goal! (106 lbs lost) - Met 2/21/10!!!

    Goal #3: 222 - 3rd 10% - Lowest Atkins weight
    Goal #4: 210 - Still on track!
    Goal #5: 200/199 - 4th 10% - One-derland! End year goal!
Female/Hypothyroidism/Arthritis/Fibromyalgia - If I can lose weight on this, so can you!
