  • Arrgghhh!!! :( how can they tell me Im ok when I know I'm not!?

so annoyed at them even the Consultant (well via the nurse) said I'm doing just fine and leave meds where they are.....
Well I know Im not being treated properly
    my levels in :-
    Nov (125mg) TSH 14.3 T4 12.2
(despite me swearing blind i hadnt had sickness or missed a dose)
    Jan (still 125mg) TSH 5.7 T4 11.6
    Feb (125mg) TSH 4.0 T4 13.1
then finally realised it would be worthwhile upping meds started out upping to 150 after febs results
    March (150mg)TSH 3.1 T4 11.6
before results came through concultant said if still upper level (tsh) then would increase again to 175 to start.... anyways took 3 weeks to ring me with results and i said so shall i increase dosage? nurse said no 'consultant says all 'normal' and as your pregnant things will change in a few weeks after baby comes anyways
well to me this is just p%*ss poor attitude and glad ive got an appt on the 20th and WILL get them to up meds who are they to say i am 'normal' i havent felt normal for so long ive forgotten how is supposed to feel!!!
Anyways thanks for reading my rant hoping that someday soon they will eventually get this sorted.

Hi Slinky, i know how you feel. My blood pressures been high and i went to dr. i had thyroid test two months ago, which i was told was in the normal range. Two different drs wouldnt listen when i said i felt lousy, aches and pains in my arms, legs and joints.Well i decided to see another dr and she as refered me to the hospital to see the endo there.
I had a goiter five yrs ago which they took out along with most of the thyroid, i felt fine for about a yr then i started to go down hill. Im on 200mcg of thyroxine but i still feel tired and can drop asleep anywhere.
Looking back three yrs i landed in hospital for six months, i just have a feeling all that was to do with my thyroid problems.
If you like reading ive just had a book by Diana Holmes called Tears Behind Closed Doors, its a must read. How she suffered for 23yrs with thyroid problems. I can relate to what she s written but also it answers questions too.As she says its not the tests but the patients the doctors should listen too.Everyone is different.
