  • I need an energy boost

    I find now that I'm going to class and running around 50% more then I used to that I get much more tired. I need an energy boost but have been off caffeine for 3 years and really don't think that that is the answer for me.

    What do you guys take or drink that is friendly to this WOL that gives you extra energy? I was thinking green tea but this will be difficult I need something around 2 and I'm in class at that time.

    I read somewhere that eating a apple is more effective than a cup of coffe to wake you up...??? myth or fact who knows but it may work for you...???

      I would say take a Vitamin B Complex and B12....that gave me a ton more energy

        if you're looking for green tea, my hubby found arizona green tea - the diet version is really, really good and so is the blueberry flavor.

        i've found that i have more energy if the veggies i eat are nutrient dense - kwim? like, i never eat lettuce, only spinach . . . maybe some jerky for sustained energy?

        i've also noticed that my first sign of dehydration is tiredness. just throwing that out there. and if i have too much caffiene i get very tired from the diruetic effect of the caffiene instead of getting my expected buzz...

        but you've been doing this a lot longer than i have so this is probably old news to you! hope you find something that works!

          actually if you are tired Dr Atkins says it is time to increase your food some.

          Also look at the carbs and if you haven't increased them since you strated all the extra working out youmight need some more just as nottolaterealized cause she was tired all the time. vigorous exercise and Dr defines that as 45 min a day have higher CCLLs accprding to Dr A in chapter 14 charts.

          See if ading 5 more net carbs doesn't boost you.Alsocheck your fitday reports and see if you are deficient in any vit or mineral cause those things can also make you tired espically potassium andthe Bs
