The "why" behind non- iron vitamins?

I have searched my DANDR and the board.

Why is it recommended that we take "no iron" supplements? Because of the amount of veggies and meats we eat?

Why is it every time I finally give up in a search for an answer and actually post my question, I find the answer immediately afterward.

Here's the same question and an answer!!
