    Hi all,

    I was wondering what everyone things about my taking these supps:

    Daily
    Morning: 1 multi, b-complex with stress thing, Calcium, omega3, l-glut, chromium, apple cide vinegar, L-Cartine, CQ10, Primrose, greentea, asparagus

    Afternoon:Calcium, omega3, l-glut, chromium, apple cide vinegar, L-Cartine, greentea, asparagus

    Evening:Calcium, omega3, l-glut, chromium, CQ10, apple cide vinegar, L-Cartine, greentea, asparagus


    Any thoughts? Add, subtract?? Thanks for any input.

    Looks like an extensive list. I take L-caratine, multi, Fish Oil, CoQ10, but I think that taking supplements is a personal thing as some of us need more of one and less than another due to age and diet. www.drweil.com use to have a site where you could plug in all of the above and he would tell you what you needed in your diet, then for a couple $100 a month he'll sell them to you. (You don't have to buy)

      Wow...I can't help you. All I take is a multivitamin (50+ for women) because it has no iron. Occasionally I will take a B complex, and zinc, if I'm feeling a little under the weather.

        why so much? have you plugged the valuse for those into your free www.fitday.com account with your foods to see if you are over dosing on any Vits?

          I honestly don't know why i take so much:
          These i took before when i was losing well. I take them three times a day so the dosage for the whole day is spread out: So i figured if they worked before.....
          - the multi is a given as is the vit B.
          - green tea cause i can't stand actual tea and i know its good for you,
          - L-Cartine, L- Glut., CQ10, calcium, Omega3, Chromium because they are usually recommended in helping get your weightloss.

          These i started taking this time for these reasons:
          - Asparagus i need to just start eating and just finished the bottle and am going to the Supp Store tonight and was wondering if i needed it, i know its a diruetic and i think that's why i started taking it.

          - Apple cider vinegar is due to my reading it helps with weight loss lol

          - The primrose i was recommended just this week because i have HORRID PMS and was told this would help.

          No, i haven't tried fitday yet, i am just keeping track manually. I will have to figure it out, i don't want to spend $$ on this stuff only to realize that it wasn't helping at all. I don't want to OD on them because then i think they will be just as useless as not taking them at all.

            L-Cartine did you know that form is used for memory in the brain not weight loss? but the body can convert excess of the acytel l-carnitine for to the L-Cartine and vis versa? we get a lot of this in the meats and dairy products so you could have too much and not know it.
            if you check your multi you will notice they have added the chromium to it now too.

            yep asperagus is a natural diuretic buit so is many other foods on the acceptable induction foods lists and the 30% protein level of atkins acts as a natural diuretic too. do you really need another fluid flushing stimulant? if so discuss this with your doc cause you might have a medical condition needing treatment.

            calcium will only help with weight loss IF and only if you are deficient in calcium. thebody has a gland that makes a hormone to cause the release of bone calcium when the blood calcium gets too low and if you are in that situation then more calcium in supplemnts but with magnesium like in your VP for absorption will turn off the hormone production and the thyroiud interferance from this hormone is stopped and the metabolism goes back up to normal. so if you aren't in that conditon you are flushing your money down the toilet. one place the body excreets excess calcium is in saliva if you get that morning crust on the back of your lower teeth you got way too much calcium. your preatkins blood work should have determined if your blood calcium levles were too low or not. remeber our cheese servings add calcium to our Atkins along with our dark green veggies.

              Wow thanks 2big i appreciate your input. I just threw in the supps i was using before and haven't really gone "over them" as i should i guess. I will look into it more and again, i appreciate your input and information.

                omega 3 is important because with all the meat we eat we got lots of omega 6 and get them out of balance but even nonatkins folk do this too. if you arr adding flax to your Atkins you are getting lots of Omega 3 there too and the nuts and seeds rung 3 adds more also.
