      Hi Sugarbum,

I've never heard of this brand of supplements before, but if their capsules really have what they claim, then it's a wonderful supplement to take as far as the main nutrients are concerned (top box).

Many of the other ingredients I've read about before in journals and other texts, but as far as how much to take for them, there's not a lot of clinical research on how much is really beneficial & most are studies done on mice or other critters. I can not think of a reason not to consume any of the ingredients from the heavy, black line through antioxidant complex b/c all the research thus far are very promising.

I'm scratching my head on why exactly they added amylase to the list. In humans, it's an enzyme that we have in our mouths that starts to break down sugars & starch, i.e. why a cracker will soften and eventually dissolve if you keep it in your mouth. What doesn't get dissolved will finish up in the stomach and so forth. We also have pancreatic amylase that digests starch & converts it to maltose. I'm guessing the supplement is helping the pancreatic amylase. I give a thumbs up to all the other "digestive support complex."

Overall, I'd say you have a wonderful supplement! If you decide to take them, I highly recommend keeping a supplement journal, detailing how you feel each day as you take them & note any improvements you feel or see along the way. Monthly photos are also helpful. This is especially important if you're new to taking supplements.

Let us know what you decide or if you have further questions.

Ooh, thanks for all the input. =) I didn't think those extras could hurt really, but I wanted to check with you guys. I'm definitely going to buy these vitamins soon and see how it goes. I'll let you all know. I wonder, what else should I be taking with this? Acidophilus? What else would be really beneficial? I just can't stand taking 15 vitamins a day - it makes me sick - which is why I'm trying to get most of it in just a few.

It's always best to add one supplement to your regimen at a time. That way, if you have reactions to it, either positive or negative, you know which supplement caused it.

Your supplement doesn't have omega 3 oils in it, so I would add flax seed supplement (cheaper) and/or fish oil supplement. There's an article I wrote about Omega 3-6-9 that you may wish to check out.

Start with your multivitamin and the omega oils, and then see how you feel in a month.

I take Rainbow Light prenatal vitamins, which I have left over from when I had a baby. What I like about this brand is that it is apparently food-based and does not upset my stomach like other vitamins do.
