  • Multi Vitamin Question

I purchased One a day, Women's active mind & body - Kind of frustrated that I did not notice this in the store last night. I see a note on this bottle that says "This product contains as much as one cup of coffee"

I am not sure if I am susceptible to caffeine or not. Would your advice be to take it back and get a different one?

    Re: Multi Vitamin Question

I'm looking at the ingredients at One A Day and the only things that I see for the physical energy is

"Provides physical energy by converting food to fuel with Pantothenic Acid, Chromium and Vitamin B6."

Now I don't think B5 (pantothenic acid) B6 and chromium are bad things to have, but good things! I think Dr. A said in DANDR that he suggests up to 1000 mcg daily of chromium

I also see that it has some iron in it which might not be a good thing if you eat lots of red meat.

Now, I don't see caffeine on the lable on the website however that doesn't mean that it's not in your bottle. If caffeine is listed on the long list of ingredients then of course you've got caffeine.

If it was me and it does have caffeine, I would probably bring it back and get another brand. I've been doing a lot of searching on the site and found that a lot of people are using centrum silver for the lack of iron. I picked up a store brand of it the other day and I honestly feel better (I was taking vitamins with 100% RDA of iron).

    That's my two cents

Thanks! I will do that. Hope they take it back since it is open, we will see.

There is 180 mg of this stuff (Guarana Blend: Guarana Seed - powder & extract, Caffeine. It was in a little box under the ingredients on the label.)

Kind of frustrating since I have to go back and do the whole exchange thing

Good luck with the exchange! I usually shy away from supplements with caffeine, but everyone has an opinion about it. Some prefer the extra boost right before they exercise, but others say it makes their heart race too much. I'm glad you read the label!
