      Re: My vitamins list

      Oops, sorry your post got overlooked. Let's see...

      Your supplements look really good, imo. I'm not sure how much calcium is in your multivitamins... The AI for calcium is 1000 mg and the UL is 2500 mg. If you eat 4 oz of cheese, you get about 1000 mg. As long as the total is below the UL though, there is no reason to worry.

      For insomnia, Dr. Atkins recommended melatonin (3 mg). Calcium, magnesium and some B vitamins (B5, B6, B12) should also help.

      I don't think taking all supplements at once will cause you any harm. Some of us however get nauseated from them and then we have to spread them throughout the day and/or take them with a larger meal.

        Re: My vitamins list

        Thanks for your reply Georgiana but what is UL and AI?

        Ok so my calcium in the multivitamin says 500mg and i usually eat my cheese allowance so that is 1000mg and the other supplement im taking is 666mg so thats a total of 2166. so its cool.

        thanks again.

          Re: My vitamins list

          AI = Adequate Intake
          UL = Upper Limit

          Yes, the calcium looks quite okay. If part of those 4 oz come from cream cheese, the calcium is probably lower.
