  • Spell It Out For Me :) Help!

Greetings! So it's been several hours of searching vitamin information with different sites and different brands and lots of research and I have to admit that I am more confused than ever. Please, pretty please, someone tell me specific brands of what to take and how many and I will go buy. Blue collar family so if it's cost effective, even better. It's not from lack of trying that I'm on here asking, but just exhausted. I've got an idea of what to take, but finding a company that has the recommended amounts and then knowing what to add additionally is daunting. I'm going guns blazing on this so info closest to the good doc's suggestions would be awesome. A little info about me- I'm 26, have been dealing with some fatigue and I'm on the diabetic cusp. Thank you so much!

I take a generic senior multi.

Another brand I use is Nature's Made.

No one can really tell you what to take ... we're all different.

acetyl l-carnitine from walmart. I get the one that has alpha lipoic acid in with it. Each capsule contains 400mg's of l-carnitine so take at least 3 a day. I take 8 a day. Also, coQ10 I get at Sam's. It's is called Members Mark brand. Members Mark fish oil and Members Mark multivitamin are also at Sams club. Another supplement I believe Dr. Atkins recommends is Chromium. There is a small amount in most multi-vitamins, but not enough for the effects he speaks about. I get chromium picolinate from Wal-mart. Each pill is like 1000mcg so one pill a day is what I take along with my other supplements. As far as economics, this all adds up, but I have been taking all of this and have lost about 80 lbs since January 17th 2010. The places I have suggested are the cheapest I can find anywhere. Don't bother even walking into a GNC unless you want to spend out the nose.
