I've reached goal and am very happy with my appearance overall, but my tummy is now a little loose. I'm considering a tummy tuck. Has anyone here had one? I am at that age you know! :help

Must admit that a tummy tuck and having my teeth capped and whitened are two of my "dreams".

Re: Tummy Tuck
I'm open for a face lift...posted in the women's forum if anyone has input. On the tummy tuck I agree, but do try to do your homework on choice of doctor as I see you are doing here. I'm interviewing several docs (I am of the opinion that I am hiring HIM/HER to be their customer, not their patient).
Each interview has a small associated consult fee to be applied to cost should I choose them, but I am trying to get a lot of info fromthe web, and references too.
Good luck,

Re: Tummy Tuck
I just had a tummy tuck on Aug 2nd when I had a hysterectomy. I am extremely pleased with it. My area below my belly-button is nice and flat, whereas it used to hang over my thighs. Now...I've got to wait till my muscles are a bit less sore and start working exercises to tighten the area above the belly-button. lol
But...I'd say go for it. I love TT.Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F

Re: Tummy Tuck
I agree, we'd all look fantastic if gravity would flow in opposite direction. lolol
I am doing good. I go to the doctor tomorrow (Sep 12) for my release exam to go back to work. I am healing well and I feel good. I am back to walking and starting to feel like my ol' self again. Glad this medical issue is a thing of the past...and I am loving my flat tummy now that the swelling has gone down. Thanks for asking, Bren!Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F

Re: Tummy Tuck
I get asked this question all the time. It is like a giant smile across my abdm. It is very thin and I think the scar will be almost invisible when it is completely healed. He did a fantastic job. It is below my bellybutton -- from my left side to my right side.
I had 72 stitches and staples in it when I had it done. He took those out after 15 days and then I had steri-tape put on it. Those fell off after about 1 week. Its a bit sore still, but nothing like it was the first few weeks. OUCH.Starting Date 3/12/04 285/165/145 - F
