Re: Seniors
I've been walking on the treadmill - I'm up to 55 minutes, 15 of which is at 2.4 mph, 30 at 2.2 mph and 10 at 1.5 mph. I started out really slow at 5 min at a time and have worked up over 6 weeks. I had to take it very slow as I have a disc problem in the old back.
I also am doing the exercises I found on the Atkins site for multiple muscle groups. I do those every other day. I do one set of twelve. That is really a work out for me.
I agree we can't keep up with the younger ones. This does get my heart rate up in the range it needs to be to get the fat burning (according to the articles I've read).

Re: Seniors
I cycle ten miles a day and more if I have the time.
Atkins he say "Excercise is not an option"
That means compulsary at any age.
But I must admit to having stayed clear of weights and machines, though I could probably benfit.Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
he said, 'Don't count calories.'
