  • Finally loosing again!!!

    Hi everyone! :hug

I have been having some problems for months. I think I have figured them out. :yes

First I had overgrowth of yeast in my system :help . So I have been taking some suppliments that is helping. I take garlic tablets, caprylic acid, and acidiphilis pills too. I can tell that I am better, thank goodness. This was about to drive me crazy. :confused

Second, I realize at this time, I cannot loose weight eating 20 carbs daily. So I have cut them down to 11 to 16 daily and I am seeing results. I knew I was metabolic resistant, and that's a fact.

for months,My weight was jumping around from 252 to 250 to 248, then back up. All with me eating 20 carbs daily. In the last week I have cut the carbs back and this morning my weight was 247. I am thrilled. :icondance :icondance

I wanted to share my news with all of you. I also found me an atkineer friend :yes (from this site) and we email each other everyday. We tell the other one how our day has gone and what our carb count and percentages of fat, protein and carbs were. It has been a god send to me.

Thanks to this web site for all the support I feel :hug . God Bless each and everyone of you. :yes

    Happy Low Carbing!
    Becky Sue :joy

I just had to write and give you all an update. I have been struggling with this terrible yeast overgrowth. I haven't gotten very far in my weight loss journey. I did get to 243 a while back, but just yo yoed back up to 247. Very depressing! but I think I have found a site that is helping me with a new approach.
So if anyone is in desperate need to control candida, PM me and I will give you the web site link.
My new adkins variation diet is called (KISS) it means (Keep It Simple, Sweetie). This diet is going to help me find out what atkins friendly food I am sensitive or allergic to, so I can get rid of my yeast problem.
I will report back in a week and let you know how everything is going.
Hope everyone is loosing and not stalling like I have been doing for months.
Happy Low Carbing and for me Happy KISSing!! :yikes

    Becky Sue,

Yeah for you!! :icondance :icondance Hopefully getting rid of the yeast will make it a bit easier for you to lose. I have wondered about yeast myself.

I look forward to seeing those pounds melting away for you. We can do it even at 50+!

BTW, you've been a blessing to me. Thanks for the support!

I think that's wonderful! We all might have to make some adjustments to figure out at what level we lose best--and it looks like you have found your level!

Good luck in your ongoing weight loss

My goodness but you are one dedicated lady! I must admit that I have only lost 5 pounds since I started waaaaay back in March, but then again I know exactly why I have not lost any more................I am not, by a long shot, as dedicated and determined as you are!

I stand in awe of your incredible resolve.

Becky Sue, I am so very happy for you. I got a little emotional when I read your post. I know how long you have struggled with the plateau you've been on.

I am thrilled for you!!! I hope you know what an inspiration you are to others. You have been so patient which is what a lot of people do not have. You didn't give up and you kept "hunting" for what would work for YOU. I'm excited for you 'cause I could hear YOUR excitement in your words.

Please keep us posted on your progress. I'd love to hear how those scales are becoming your friend every week.

((((((((((((Becky Sue)))))))))))))) Do 'ya feel it???

Just thought I'd drop by and tell you that I am doing real good on my eating plan.
I was stalled for so long(9 months) :yikes . So with the help of some super people and suggestions of a different approach and it has helped me to start loosing again.
I still have issues with yeast infections. even today I am suffering from it, but not as bad as I have had the darn problem.
I have now cut out all the yeast feeding foods, like, vinegar, mayo, cheeses, nuts, and dry spices. So as you can see I am eating, fresh or frozen veggies(not starchy ones), meats with salt only on it. and Olive oil. I have cut dairy products out of my diet too.

I know this sounds drastic, but I had to do drastic measures to get results.
I am keeping it simple and it is working.
July 1st. my weight was 245, July 20th my weight was 236.5. So you see I am getting results. 10.5 lb loss :yikes

After I get closer to my goal, I will add back some of these foods and see if my body tolerates them.

So for those people out there that lost weight at first and then stopped loosing. there is help out there. I know where you can get help.
all you gotta do is ask.

                    Becky Sue,

I know what a struggle it has been for you and I couldn't be happier that you found a solution and have gotten the weight dropping off again.

You are an inspiration for so many people. Most would have given up and resumed their old habits of eating everything that kept them gaining weight. You took the initiative to find out what was wrong and did something about it. Because of your research, I know you will help many others who have yeast problems and are unable to lose the weight just by following a low-carb WOE.

You are remarkable. I am so happy to be your friend!!!!

                      Becky Sue says!!!!!
July 1st. my weight was 245, July 20th my weight was 236.5. So you see I am getting results. 10.5 lb loss
Today, July 30th I am reporting in to tell you my weight has gone down to 232.
So for the last 9 to 10 months I was in stallsville :burn . tomorrow it will be a month of eating very strict. And I have lost 13 pounds in 30 days. So In one year and one month I have lost 55.5 pounds. I just can't believe this is really happening. :icondance :icondance

So many of the allowed foods were causing me to stall, so I cut them out. I now eat,Pure Foods like, unprocessed meats, eggs, veggies that are either fresh or frozen, olive oil, salt and freshly ground black pepper, and drink tons of water. This sounds very strict and it is. You don't go this strict unless you are having all the problems I was having, plus yeast overgrowth that was driving me crazy.
I now feel 200% better and I am making progress.

I hope this information helps, if you are having problems like I was.
                      The best to you. :hug

That's great news, Becky Sue!! So glad you are finally getting a handle on your new WOE. I'm sure that I couldn't do it. I love my low carb dressing and cheese on my salad. I could eat the salad without those, but would probably get bored with it and stop eating salads every day!

                        Keep up the GREAT job!

Thanks Granny and Bonnie. I am so happy that the weight is coming off again.
I hope to add back some of the foods after I get to goal, but if those foods make me sick, with yeast infections and other symptoms, I will eat this pure. Because I want to succeed and I want to feel good, like I am feeling today.
I am just so happy I found some eating solutions to my problems.
It is amazing how my body loves the simple foods and doesn't bloat, retain water, no weight stalls like it did on processed foods. Guess my body would have fit right in, in the caveman days. Just meat, eggs, veggies, olive oil and water. UGGH! Me cavewoman! arty
                            Have a good evening!

For the month of July, eating only pure unprocessed foods I have lost 15.5 pounds. I am so pleased and wanted to share my success with all my BB friends.
