  • Leading with your Diet!!

I borrowed this bit of information from my good friend, Peggy, on another great Low Carb web site. She says it best.
Just in case you were wondering what the heck I ment, when I say, "Leading with the diet!"

"Leading with the diet" means having a food plan each and every day. If you have a plan, have the appropriate food in the fridge and pantry -- then no matter what happens in your life -- no matter what challenges come -- you know what you're going to eat. That frees you from temptation. That frees you to meet your weight loss goals, because you are prepared.

It means going to the grocery store with a list, shopping the perimeter of the store where the "real" food is, and not getting lost in high-carb, non-food-land in the middle.

It means making the diet the calm in the midst of the chaos of living. You can't control many things, but you are in total control of what you put in your mouth at all times. Leading with the diet means claiming that control, and deciding to be in charge of your eating.

With Peggy, it meant not allowing a tiny almond to control me!

    Empowering, isn't it? It works!

Peggy has met her goal and is doing wonderfully eating Low Carb!

    Have a wonderful L C day! :hug

      YUP, IT REALLY WORKS!

      Hi all, Ginnie here.
I too get up and prepare my food for the whole day. Everything is all there on the shelf in the fridge, and all I have to do is just pick it up and eat it, or just pop it in the "Nuker". No guessing what goes in the mouth next, no cooking three or five times a day. makes life a little easier!

That is so true!! For six months...I've shopped with my list. I know exactly what is in my frig and what I can eat every day. When I fix dinner, I usually fix an extra piece of meat and have it for lunch the next day. For instance if I have chicken breast for dinner, I'll cook two. the next day for lunch I'll make a salad and dice my chicken in it. I also take extra pieces of meat and cube them up in baggies to eat if I get hungry between meals.

If the high carb foods aren't in the house, you can't put them in your mouth. If other members of my family want to eat them, they bring them when they come to visit and I'm okay with them fixing whatever they want, but I don't have it in my cupboards.

I think that the success of this WOE depends on planning.
