I am so proud to wear the title "Granny" and of the little angel :angel (yea, right - the little angel with horns!) who calls me that!

Happy Grandparents day to you too, Rhonda. I love being a granny. It is way more fun than it was being a mommy. I feel more relaxed and comfortable in this role -- I remember when I was a new mom, I was sure I'd make a horrible mistake and harm my child. And that was after growing up in a house full of kids with me being the oldest. When it is your own, you freak-out over every bump and scratch that happens.

But being a grandparent is what life is all about. I have the patience to stop and listen and play with the kids. When I was a young mom, I used my time to work outside the home and do housework when I was home. I kept busy and worried all the time that I wasn't good enough at either task. Now, I don't care what people say, I know I am good at what I do.

I'm enjoying my grandkids and loving the excitement they put into my life.

Way more fun than being a mommy. Its the reward that we get for surviving our children I think.

Hooray for grandparents. I have 6 grandchildren and #7 due anytime. the oldest grandchild just turned 13 on the 6th of Sept.
