  • I like the 50's.....

Ya know, I'm enjoying being in my 50's more than I would have thought. It's a nice in between age and allows you the perks of being older while still sampling the youth culture.

I can always fall back on it if I struggle during an athletic competition or while disciplining my daughter, and it allows me to wear comfy sweaters while the young uns are being cold but stylish....

Overall I give it a stamp of approval.

I am getting really close...(49) but so far I totally agree with you!
    I kind of freaked when I turned 40, but I don't think I will when 50
comes. I am really starting to get to know who I really am, what does
really matter to me, and above all I am much more thankful for the blessings
I do have than I ever was younger!

And the 60ies are even better cause YOU CAN RETIRE. Did I mention to anyone that I was retired. Heck its been over 11 months now and I highly recommend it to everyone. Of course I was thinking that I could take a part time job as a Wal Mart greeter. Hi, Hello, Hi, Hi, welcome, See, I would be perfect.

At 57 I weigh the same as I did at 17; and I fit the dress uniforms made for me when I joined the British Army aged 27 in 1977.
Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
            he said, 'Don't count calories.'

The 50s are good. I just wish I didn't need thiose darned irritating reading glasses!

Brian, it must feel great to fit back into those uniforms. What a positive affirmation every day of how far you've come with the diet and health makeover.

                    .

Can't believe I haven't ever needed glasses. I think I'm the only one in my family that didn't have them by the time they were teenagers, much less 50+. I attribute it to playing video games and sitting too close to the TV despite all advice to the contrary...lol.
