  • New mod here but not new to Atkins!!

Well hello fifty something folks. I am taking over as mod for Lynne as she is now admin team. I am not too computer savvy but have been mod here for over a yr now and do the diabetic board. Have quite a busy life, operate a busy B&B, so don’t travel far off the diabetic board and volunteered to do this forum as it seemed like fun......turning 55 soon and all....I mean don’t we get wiser as we age.

I will drop in once a day, more if time permits, feel free to pm me if ever necessary.
Am looking forward to sharing and getting to know you as we age along.
I curled a harsh game tonight and am bushed so off to bed but back tomorrow. nite nite.

Yes I hear ya Kerri, with all those goodies around it gets harder doesn’t it. I am better off without them in my house, if specific questions just ask.

I found using this aboard a lifesaver as it reminded me daily what I was doing and not to slip. I can carb creep at times but don’t eat sugary or floury things at all now for almost 16months so feel good about it.

I can see though with my age how my metabolism is not like the young uns and so have to find a way to get more movement in life.I am not an exercise fan so do what I can.

Had a bad injury last Christmas so had to stop my bow flex machine and so am now just able to get back into some walking etc. I do curl and that is good but only once a week and used to be four times a week.

I am not good on computer but if you have, questions ask and if I can’t help you I know lots of techies here who are just awesome.

Just -peeking in here to say, that Lynne and I are leaving you in very capable hands. Canuck is a very knowledgable Atkineer, and as she told you she is mod on the diabetic forum. So you might take a peek there also if you have questions about that.

Canuck I know you are going to do a great job here.

I know, for certain, that Canuck will do a great job.

She's already on my "nice" girl list, you know!

By the way, do any of you children know where the "Over 1000" forum for us real senior citizens is?
            A Merry Christmas to All!!
