Hi Canuck, just saw this post--I was planning to do a re-induction for the first 2 weeks of January! I'm in OWL and not gaining, but I feel like I am getting farther and farther from "home base" and so I want to spend a couple of weeks back on that regimen. Also plan to go back to weighing and measuring every bit of food and entering it and my exercise in Fitday to be sure that my daily calories are where they should be. The scale and my clothes tell me I'm just fine, but it wouldn't hurt to revisit induction!

Thanks for the compliment, Canuck! I am convinced that for me, exercise is the key even more than toeing the line and staying under 20 carbs, but I'm still going for re-induction starting next week!

Sorry you are in a stall, but your pictures tell that you have had great success!

ya I have lost inches not lbs. Doing lots of reading lately on where exercise doesn’t help you lose faster, no diff....but it builds muscle and muscle burns calories while at rest so what’s the diff. I feel better when exercise even though I don’t like it but couldn’t do it for a yr due to injury so am just getting back at it now.

Welcome, CalifGal! If you stick with the diet by the book, stay away from the bars and shakes and anything with sugar alcohol in it, and do start exercising on some level as soon as you can (if you can), then I think you will make your June 230 goal!

I know what you mean about the fatty foods--I came from a low-fat diet and kept thinking there was NO WAY this would work, and what would it do to my cholesterol? My cholesterol, though, is down, as is my blood sugar and blood pressure. It takes about 3 months for this to kick in--in the beginning your cholesterol may go up a smidge since your body isn't used to running on that fuel, but don't let that alarm you--stick with it and it will go back down!

This is a very easy WOE (Way Of Eating), you won't be hungry, and you get to eat really good foods! Enjoy! And get ready to go shopping for smaller clothes....over and over again....

Yupe to what Peggy said, have you read the book, wont need a diet plan as this is just the way you eat for the rest of your life. read the book, buy the foods, empty the wrong foods outta your house and just let it happen. it took me 8 months to get my head around eating fat from olive oil, butter and meats was ok as for 25 yr was low fat and hi grains.
