  • Any Guys Here?

    Hi there everyone,
I am open to conversation with everyone but kind of interested if there are any men here. I have been to the Men's Only room but nothing there but jokes and humour. Isn't there any serious men out there who are on Atkins that can be advocates for each other? I have spoken with several very nice ladies on this site and they are so encouraging. I would hope that men can be that way too. Retired teacher here, on Atkins again after a three month hiatus and wanting to get to goal of 200 on this 6'4" frame. Ladies, feel free to write, and men, we are all here for the same reason. So far have lost 15 pounds since January 3. Feeling positive and doing okay so far. Take care everyone and success to you all! Robb

My wife and I started Atkins on the 27th December and although the progress is not as fast as some others, it's still coming off.

          Canuck,

I'm actually a Brit working here with my wife and as far as I'm aware there are only the two of us on Atkins, mind you that's not to say there are others.

We have access to various concessionaries with the US PX being our main supplier of 'goodies', however the meat and veg we buy locally and it is of a fairly decent quality.

My wife has actually lost 10 pounds so she is really pleased and we can see ourselves staying on the diet for the rest of our lives.

          All the best

Oh I wondered, I get some Cdn soldeirs who have been there come to my B&B upon return home.
That's good you can stay on it there.
It is a lifestyle for Bob and I too, we don't buy, prepare or eat anything that is not Atkins friendly,if we do we both gain fast, I hAve enver really gone off it but did carb creep all early winter but hAve loSt it alL now.
I juSt feel better as no hiGh BG and bob feels better as no acId reflux disorder and more energy.

Hey, Manitoban... did you give the guys a chance? Yea, we joke around alot but we also engage in a serious discussion now and again.

And, if you want some individual help I'd be glad to assist. Just drop me a PM sometime.

                  Hiya Manitoban,

Although my primary forum is the Century Club, I often lurk here.

I began doing Atkins almost two years ago, when I was sixty years old. It has both saved my life and changed my life.

Look forward to getting to know you.
