    Can we 80's kids chime in on this? I remember your years, Hopeful. Black rubber bracelets and big cross or plaid earrings. Plaid/paisley everything in fact. I used to spray starch and iron my collars so they'd stay up all day, and when my mother got me oxblood penny loafers, I had the shoe guy color them black because no one wore oxblood penny loafers. We put new pennies in them and wore them with big scrunchy socks and pegged jeans.

    My best girlfriend always had the cooler stuff. She got a VCR (Beta?) first, and then an Atari! When my father got the first computer for his company, I thought that was the most amazing thing.

    Funny - sometimes I have to stop myself from buying clothes that strongly resemble the ones I liked in high school. How completely goofy! Does anyone else ever catch themselves doing that?
