  • Hi all, How ya doing.

I have been absent for a year or so and haven't kept up. My name is Lynne and I am retired. Have I mentioned that recently. Well, I did retire and then my work called me back for a stint last fall. For 6 weeks I had to get up at 0600 in the morning and then not get home at night until just about dark. It was horrid. I decided, I really love retirement and unless they want to send me to the Bahamas or I'll take Spain, Japan, maybe even Europe, (that ain't gonna happen) I am just going to stay retired and happy with it.
I've been on and off Atkins for 5 years now and this I feel pretty committed this time around. I exercise 5 days a week at the pool doing water arobics and I really love that and the only problem I have following this WOE is water. I hate water and I have to be just about dehydrated before I'll drink it.

Would love any 50+ers to introduce themselves as we do have some challenges that the kids don't.

Hiya Lynne and welcome back! Ummmmm, yes... I think I do remember you mentioning your retirement in the past now and again ( ha ha )!
Sorry to hear it didn't last as long as retirement should. Maybe it'll be permanent this time!

I was looking towards retirement too, and had only worked for myself since the birth of my sons (22 years ago), when out of the blue, I got made an offer I couldn't refuse. Now I'm suddenly back to working for someone else. Still not sure if I love it or hate it, but it's certainly a challenge and the extra $$$ are welcome. Don't think I'm gonna get sent to the Bahamas or Japan though either, for work.

Maybe we should consider retiring to such exotic paradises!!

Guess we always want more than we have, don't we? I'd love to get over to the States at some stage (having never been)... also before retirement!

                    Hi Lynne,
I just came back also. I'm so glad you are here. You've helped me so much with Induction remember? I want to start again tomorrow. I'm still working shift work and still putting in alot of hours. Maybe we can help each other stay on track.
