  • Dry Skin???

Us folks over 50, sometimes have the problem of Dry Skin!!!

I have a lotion that I mix up and use everytime I shower and I thought you might want to mix up some and try. I use this after I dry off, and apply all over.

    Ingredients:
Buy one jar(16 oz) of Vita E lotion from Family dollar store for $1.

In this you mix 1/2 a jar of vasoline, jar is 7.5 oz, use 1/2 of this jar in my lotion.

Sometimes I squirt some baby oil in this mixture, optional.

Then I put my favorite smelling lotion(1 oz) in this concoction. I like the body and bath, Sweet pea flavor. You can use whatever fragrance in yours or not put any frangrance in yours. Your choice.

Mix all this up, you can use a hand mixer and really mix it but I just stir it.

Your skin will be a tiny bit greasy if you use to much, but my old skin just drinks it up.

Common sense would think, that if our skin is moist it will shrink back to normal, well better than if it is dry skin. At least it sure helps my skin to feel and look better.

Hope you give this a try and tell me what you think. We need to pamper ourselves. Only we can take care of ourselves. Nobody else can!!

Here's to you and a smoother, softer, moister, skin!!

Great suggestion. My heels and feet are so dry I have quit wearing nylons cause they just ruin them.

jeez kiddo your age is showing. nylons?????????????they are knee highs or pantyhose!!!!
I am really dry especially since coming back from orient where it is so mosit.Your skin almost rains there.
I also use this in my shower, a guest had some made in a bottle and everyday my staff and I would go in and smell it as it was so awesome and we couldn't figure it out, she had it in big peanut butter jar.One day I asked her as we knew it was a homemade concoction…
      2 cups Epsom salts
      Eucalyptus oil
      Peppermint oil
      Glycerin
      or olive oil
rub it on, leave it, will tingle then rinse off, hmmmmm.
have you noticed how Greek women all have soft supple skin, they tell me its cause they have olive oil dialy.I never looked my age till now I lost weight and am getting wrinkles.

For really dry feet, go to walmart and pick up some "bag balm" its in a green tin box and is really for cow teats but if you rub some into your feet before bed and sleep with socks on, do this for a few nights or until your feet are soft.....really works and you'll notice a difference in one night.

I totally am with Tamariah. I use the bag balm every night on my hands and feet (with socks). The only problem with it is my cat HATES the smell so he really talks to me when I put it on each evening.
