Revisiting "How hard is Atkins after age 50?"

Hi Everyone! I asked this question when I started Atkins a few weeks ago.

I am hear to tell you that it isn't bad at all! I have been sticking to my plan about 80% and, althought I don't weight myself, my "jeansometer" tells me that I am down about 7-8 pounds.

I am a massage therapist and yesterday two clients said, "wow, it looks like you are losing weight". I haven't told anyone I'm doing anything for weight loss.

      WOOOOO HOOOOO.

Atkins after 50 is very DOABLE!!!

Re: How hard is Atkins after age 50??

I started Atkins about 7 weeks before my 50th birthday (and will be 51 this week ) and, while I am still about 30 pounds from my goal, am very happy with how I look and feel. I feel more energetic and happier and sleep much better than I did prior to starting Atkins.

Since the symptoms of hypoglycemia are due to instability of insulin levels and resulting blood sugar levels, this WOE is the ideal cure for the condition.

Sounds like you are doing great!!

Hi Liz It is great to know you haven't found it too hard and that others are noticing your shrinking too!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: How hard is Atkins after age 50??

Hi SlimLiz! This is my second time with the Atkins also and it is taking me longer to see results with the scales...but then... I just finished my two week induction... ha ha! I am determined to see this... I have NOT cheated to my knowledge and trying hard to drink all the water. I know I need to get MOVING and walking... so that is my next goal.

I am 58 years old... and hope we can be buddies and help each other. I have some health issues as well, but I know sticking with this diet will ease some of my probs and bet it will for you too.
