  • 3 Feb Time to start making plans

for Valentines, especially since it evolves around chocolate.

Are you planning something special with your sweetie?

I was thinking about this too. Thinking about giving a small amount of sugar free candy for everyone, in some clever package/presention, and giving my girls a certificate for Borders, or a pedicure or something... and husband a really nice massage. Definately want to de-emphasize the candy/sweets aspect, and let less=more. I'll be interested in reading other's ideas!

my daughter is having anxiety around valentine's day and school, as friends will be lavishing candy and cookies on each other. She doesn't want to make a big deal about it, and call atention to her diet, and hates being tempted. Seeing it, smelling it, saying no to it are hugely charged issues for her.

      Love that Somerset Maugham quote!
Maybe I should go with DH to visit the principal town of our region; Terni, Italy. Apparently San Valentino is the patron saint!
