Is Alec Guinness known as Obi Wan Kenobi then??? And who on earth is Obi Wan Kenobi? See... I'm old as well, but just live a long way from all the "fun and games"!

              From Star Wars.

One of the few more modern movies I've seen. I think the last one I went to a theatre to see was Dances with Wolves!

                Ohhhhhh... thank you Sunny!
Apologies to Star Wars fans, but I have to admit, when I saw the film many, many moons ago... I actually fell asleep! My date was horrified, because he'd been raving about it to me for ages. Needless to say we didn't last long as a couple!!! Anyway... no wonder I didn't know who Obi Wan Kenobi was!

Okay, this is really old... and I may be the only one who remembers Topper.

On Topper, the martini drinking St. Bernard was named...

                      Re: Just for fun

It sounds familiar, but we didn't have a TV at home when I was growing up, so I never saw it. I watched a little TV at friends' houses.

                      Sorry!

I do remember Roy Rogers and a game show from the 50's called Watch the Birdie. Also the Mickey Mouse show, of course.

I knew I was old, Actually Topper was a movie or a couple of movies, Topper was a banker and two of his clients died in a car accident and haunted him. (It was a comedy)
Their dog was the St Bernard Neil.

What is this 50ies fashion called.
                            A cowgirl outfit
                            A poodle skirt
                            Or
                            A felt skirt

Bonus points, what shoes were worn with this outfit.
Saddle oxfords you had to powder
                            Cowboy boots with tassels
                            or
                            Mary Janes

It's a poodle skirt, and you wore saddle shoes AND my hubbys grandmom was somehow connected to the birth of this particular style of skirt (not sure, based on my MIL's tales, if she "invented" it or made one of the first ones??) and I think you could also wear penny loafers with it??

Not quite old enough to have worn one.
