  • Thanks to you all.....

    OK...Here's the deal. Six years ago I found it a lot easier to lose than this time around. Although, this time I am following the plan the right way. However, I was not menopausal and face it, six years younger! : )

    This time I am setting more realistic goals and being true to myself by keeping my commitments to the two challenges I have joined. Do I like lifting weights? No...but I will. : )

    Having said that, I don't think I would have made it without this board. "PISS"... Who knew? LOL Yes, I am experiencing it. I am exercising and staying off the scale for now. I am learning to love the tape measure.

    I have learned to eat "enough" instead of cutting back at the ups and downs of the scale. All of this because all of you have been generous enough with your experience and time to help the rest of us following behind.

    Do I wish I could lose faster...Duh.... Of course I do. But I will try to be a "wise" owl and hang in for the long run.

    Again, thanks to all of you for sharing your journey and advice. It really helps!

    Hi Nana! Congrats for following the plan closely this time around. You won't regret it.
    Yeah... it's true that the menopause slows us down along with passing years, but with constance, we still lose perfectly well. I guess we just need a little more patience and perseverance.

    Kudos to you for learning to love the tape measure. Très wise!

        It sounds as if you are in the right frame of mind to be a great loser

            Nana -- yes it is harder as we get older to loose weight, but it's still possible and you will get to your goal. It won't be at lightening speed, but as you go through each day you will appreciate each pound loss and you were be so much more determined to keep it off. I just keep thinking if it's this hard to loose weight when I'm 51 I can't imagine how much slower it will be in 5 years, 10 years or more.....

            Congratulations on coming this far -- I can't wait to see more!

                  Yup...Still hanging in there. Trying to get my exercise in each day and adding a different weight workout. The scale is still up and down and I have decided to wait until the end of this exercise challenge to measure again. But, I didn't gain it in a day and I won't lose it that way either. Drat! : (

                      Still pluggin' along. It is slow and sometimes a bit discouraging, but I am adding lifting weights to the program and expect that to help. Thanks for asking!

                        I was just wondering -- you are awfully quiet there!! Glad to hear things are still going forward....slowly but surely! Have you joined any of the challenges to keep yourself accountable? Personally I love them, and I've met so many new people doing them.
