[quote="2big4mysize"]do you mean when TOM stopped coming as your definition of when?[/quote I guess my question was more of the wake up moment that you said "yup this part of my life is over"?

oh I did the hysterectomy route too and that part was over. the estrogen levles keep fluctuating as my doc keeps pointing out when his test results come back one yr menapausal and the next normal estrogen levels. So I guess I will never know for sure about that.
I was 51 when I stopped having periods and luckily never noticed hot flushes or symptoms of the menopause at all. Though after a few months on Induction I did have one period (had to go out and buy tampons :sadblinky ) that lasted 2 days about a year ago. Still got half a box but am hanging on to them in case TOM visits again!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies? Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Thanks for the answers ladies. I really thought I might be pregnant but Dr says well you know your at the age when things stop being regular. I am oly 38 but mom was done and over with just after 40. I wont have any testing done, I like my head in the sand.
I look forward to the next season of my life but I will give up the ability to have children kicking and screaming.

I had a vaginal hysterectomy in 1992. I still have my ovaries. I noticed menopausal symptoms when I turned about 45. I didn't know what was going on (I didn't think it would happen until 50 something). My sister told me to go to the doc so I did. Sure enough.
It can happen at any age. Your doc would be able to confirm it with a blood test (I think).
Edit: As I think about it, I was actually 42. My time flies when you're having fun!!!
