  • 17 year old lost in the weight loss woods

    Hello,

My name is Jesse Johnson and Im starting this atkins diet...again. about 3 months ago i went on it and lost about meh 15 LB in 2 months ( i wasnt too strict on the diet and i had school) then for a month i did another diet and it didnt work at all. Now im coming back to the atkins But im getting strict and im out of school with no job (still waiting for Airborne to call)

SO i got a couple question, but first im 6'0 and weigh about 340 (i think) But im not a blob, i been lifting weights so im kind of a stocky/blob.

first question is the foods i eat on the first 2 weeks, ive looked for the list that was talked about but couldnt find it.

And the other is the exercising. Maybe you could tell me a moderate amount of calories to burn (though im not monitering calories i just need some kind of guideline)

Thanx! Like to meet some other teens on here. :guns

It's chapter 11 in the 2002 edition of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution.

    Acceptable Foods
    Rules of Induction

There are also 3 other stages, don't forget about them.

        Hi Jesse,

The book is a must so you'll be able to understand why this program works. It's a lifestyle change, not just a diet for quick weight loss. Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, available at Walmart or any book store. You can skip the pre-packaged options that some places sell. Just the main book will do.

Lots of info also available at these forums (of course!) and at www.atkins.com .

Re: 17 year old lost in the weight loss woods

ytep chaopter 11 of DANDR has the induction foods lists but you really need to read the whole book so you understand why things are important likethe water, fiber, controlling the carbs strictly, the high amount of healthy fat in the plan, etc,.

As to the exercise you should be doing both cardio and resistande and since you are already a weight lifter you should be doing that and some cardio Read the chapters in DANDR about exercise and why that too is a part of Atkins WOL. Join our exercise challenge programs too. brook has one based on min per month, Skkyye has the 6WEEK EXERCISE CHALLENGE, There is a new Century Club Exercise Challenge for all who needed to lose 100 or more pounds when they began Atkins and several other ones like the pres challenge if you look in the exercie challege forum.

          Happy low carbing.
