  • Need low carb recipe ideas for my boys..

    I've looked everywhere for some good kid-friendly low carb or lower carb recipes for my 9 & 12 yr old boys. They're both about 10-15 lbs overweight but are both very tall. I'm not doing 'strict' Atkins with me but trying to lower their intake of carbs which they both eat alot of. Any of you have any really good recipes that they might like? Dad & I are both doing Atkins but they don't like some of our stuff lol Thanks!!!!

    Go for complex carb sides, like whole grain (not whole wheat) bread, brown rice, etc. to go with your Atkins meals, if you dont' want to cook twice. Otherwise, check out some of the low carb cookbooks (many of which are not Atkins Induction friendly) and see if there's anything they'd like.

    The best thing to do is cut out sodas and junk food, and give them water and fruits instead.

      I think if anything, you should just change the bread they eat. That's helped me a lot. Bread has a lot of usless carbs, so using low carb bread would be an easy way to lower their carb intake, I would assume
