    Hey

Hey, I'm new to the boards too :nod ..Anyways..Hmm..You could try making your meals (the meals that you need to make quick to catch the buss) the night before. Maybe something that could be eaten cold, or warmed up in the microwave. If you wrap your hot food in lots of foil after you heat it up, if keeps warm for a good while. Otherwise, you could try something like ham-cheese wraps, which are basically a peice of ham with cream or cheddar cheese inside, all rolled up. (2 wraps in a serving). There are tons of quick recipes out there. Maybe go check out some of the recipe boards. There are some good ideas there.
    Hope this helped! :yes

Hi umm well I'm not sure you'll like my idea but you can give it a try, I buy canned spinach, canned green beans, and canned chicken you can use tuna(lol also a student) so anyways in a bowl I usually add in the chicken, spinach or green beans, butter and top it with cheese, I microwave for two minutes and done. I think it's good but maybe not your thing. Oh and if you like flax, I also add in a tablespoon to it.

How about boiling up a dozen eggs at a time, put them in the fridge and you can have 2 for breaky with some cheese and a slice of ham.

You can also make up a bowl full of chopped onions, red and green peppers and cucumber. Then all you have to do is open a can of tuna, salmon or thrown in a couple of the eggs chopped up and add some mayo and salt/pepper. You can dice up some ham to throw in the egg salad too, or even buy bags of salad mix, and mix in a handful of that.

My husband and kids enjoy ham slices, spread with a bit of mayo, sprinkle on some cheese and roll them up. You can add a sliver of red pepper in there too. Throw a few in each baggy, and have a few baggies ready to go in the fridge.

Devilled eggs are good too. Slice the eggs lengthwise, and pop out the yolks. Blend the yolks with a bit of mayo, some onion and some salt/pepper. Put a spoonful back into each egg white half, and they will keep in the fridge for a few days.

If your mom makes chicken, pork chops or even steak for dinner, ask her to keep out a cooked portion for you and put it in the fridge. Get a bag of chopped romaine lettuce and a bag of that precooked bacon. Throw a handful of lettuce, a TBSP of parmesan cheese, and a bit of bacon in a tupperware bowl (those ziplock disposables are great for that). Toss with some ceasar salad dressing, and chop up whatever meat you have leftover for a great meal.

Chicken wings for dinner are a family favorite, and won't break the bank. Throw some salt and pepper on them, and cook them in a 400° oven for 30 minutes, flip them over and cook them for another 30 minutes. They are great hot with ranch or blue cheese dressing, or get some Frank's hot sauce and add a TBS of melted butter for a nice buffalo wing. You will then have some nice leftovers wings to take in a bag, along with a side of dressing for your lunch!!

I am sure I can come up with more, I am regularly trying to find stuff to please my husband, who leaves at 6am, and doesn't get home until after 7pm SEVEN DAYS A WEEK!!!

Make sure you ALWAYS have bottled water in your bag, get it ready the night before in the fridge, so all you have to do is grab and go!!

Good luck, and I will post more as I think of them

Ooh, another thing you can try for dinner:

Pork or turkey/chicken cutlets... pound them out a bit.
Lay on a slice of ham and sprinkle on some shredded mozza.
Dip them in egg and then roll them in parmesan cheese.
bake in a 350° oven for about 45 minutes...

mmmmmmmmmmmm good, and not expen$ive :nod

I'm in the same boat, I have 5 minutes to eat and run for the bus. Mostly I do a quick two eggs in a frying pan, yes.. mostly everyday, i'm so plain. But sometimes i'll throw some microwave sausage in, only takes two minutes.
