I have been told that I have a very "addition prone" personality. Once I find something I like, it's really hard for me to give it up. I'm glad to say that I easily gave up my Dr. Pepper addiction a while ago (probably 4 months ago). The down side, I often drink diet soda as a substitute. I don't drink more than a glass or two a day, and sometimes I forego it entirely for a period of a few days to a week or two. I wanted to know if that's OK? Is there a limit on diet soda or other things like it?
A positive substitution I have made is: whenever I feel like I want to cheat, like get up and walk over to the pantry to get a little carb-filled snack, I steer myself to the refridgerator instead and whip out a nice little cheese stick, <1 carb per stick. And thus my munchies are satisfied and I can ignore my carb cravings.
