Hey guys,
I usually don't post in this forum (although I know what it's like to be the fattest kid in class.). My little brother is on day 4 of induction and has been doing really well. The only problem is his constant complain about being hungry before school is out. I can't figure out if his appetite is really that big or if he just thinks he's hungry.
Age:13
Height: 5' 7"
Weight: 250
For lunch today I gave him 3 big lettuce leaves for wrapping tuna salad. But I made him 2 cans of tuna :yikes This seems like way too much for one meal, but I may be wrong.
Also, since he is still growing I have not limited his amount of vegetables. I figure if he eats too much broccoli or cauliflower his biggest problem will be time spent in the restroom and not counting carbs.
I could also use some suggestions for what he should take in his lunch. He likes BikerGoddess Pizza, but taking that for lunch everyday is out of the question. Too expensive and he needs to learn to like his veggies.
Has anyone tried turnip chips? I tried to make some last night but they were burnt by the time they became crisp. He does like turnips raw but I thought chips might make him appear a little more normal at school. Unfortunately his teachers could give him as much trouble as his "friends" if they knew he was doing Atkins.
Sorry for the long post, I guess I didn't realize I had so many questions.
