  • Stalled Weight Loss?

    Question? I have been on Atkins for a little over a 3 weeks close to a month and the last week i have stalled and even have a pound or two weight gain or lose? Is this normal? I know i need to work out more.. Just wondering?

      Well, you can't have a stall yet A stall is 4 weeks with no inches or pounds lost.

      Two things - go back over your menu to make sure you're not overlooking something and a lot of people experience a 'post-Induction hesitation' about 3-5 weeks in, even doing everything by the book.

      Make sure you've not added anything back in you shouldn't have and that you're still watching measurements, then just sit back and keep doing that. It'll start moving again.

      Also, take your measurements now, if you haven't already. I lost a full dress size without dropping a pound, at one point.

        Good i was getting worried that something might be wrong.. I hoping to loose some pants for a cruise this summer and maybe my bday in april..

          Just stick with it. If you're not doing weight bearing exercises, start them now. You won't lose weight any quicker, but you'll get smaller, which is what you want. Muscle weighs more than fat at the same volume, think there's a graphic around here somewhere. But, end result is that you'll look better in your clothes, no matter your actual weight.

            thats the same for me. I lost like 7 or 8 pounds in the first week and then for the next 2 or so weeks i haven't lost a single pound. My weight went up and down a tiny bit but its finally dropping again.

              Your doing great so far- some days and weeks are slower then others, you will reach goal before you even know it stay positive and drink lots of water.

                doing great so far. measure so you can see the inches of fat melting off as the scales refuse too validate your hard work. So what are you doing as the mandatoiory exercise part of your Atkins? we got some new exercise challenges starting up right now you can join for some addditonal motivation.
