Hey all.. I'm on day 3 of induction. I'm doing allrite... but I've been hearing a lot of bad things. One of my friends told me that after induction, as soon as I have any carbs I'm going to gain back all that weight I lost. Is this true? I don't have much weight to lose (I'm only 145 now) but I would like to be able to haev carbs ( I love cereal, oatmeal, fruit) and still keep the weight off. I was off of my old junk food habits a while ago, and my normal diet usually consisted of salads, fat free dressings, chicken breast, pita and hummus, fruit, cereal, low-sugar oatmeal, etc. I was still very healthy before. Will it be possible for me to go back to this lifestyle?

Also, any microwaveable recipe ideas? I'm stuck in a college dorm :/

you would do well to share you book with your friend.
no, it is not true that when you add carbs after induction you will gain. now that is true unless you add 50 carbs of cookies, 94 carbs for a piece of cake. in those cases and the like, yes, you will gain. but if you follow the plan, you are not going to gain. accept fluctuations as part of what happens, it's a natural thing.

oatmeal is doable when you get to the grain rung. fruit is added before that on the fruit rung. cereal? that stuff is full of sugar and once you get started and rid your system of sugar, you might start wondering why you were eating it in the first place.

you don't have much weight to lose and atkins, as you probably know, is a plan that is meant to be lifetime. and it isn't hard to live with. most of the things you thought you would miss are most likely things you will be able to have again.
