    hey! i've been clean for 18 days now and i'm on extended induction! (yay me, lol) the only thing is, i just keep craving things. isn't it weird how much you notice when other people are eating things that we can't eat? it's like a super human power. my sense of smell is also heightened, which is weird. i can smell chocolate from across the room. i just need to wait 5 more days and i can begin OWL and i'm just hoping and praying that i can wait it out. i've been drinking so much water to keep my self full because i've been so hungry lately. (it's because i keep exercising, not because i crave things)


    well anyway, i just wanted to post something in the teen post because there are barely any. come on guys! we have to support each other! do you relate to this in any way? if so just post something. we need more discussions.

    that's about it, lol. thankx for reading.

    You can do it!

    If you're hungry because you're not eating enough to meet your energy needs, you need to eat more. I find that eating higher fat makes me feel more satiated, too.

    And if you're 18 days into Induction, there's no real need to wait 5 days to start OWL. If it comes down to cheating or OWL, OWL is a better choice.

      yep the great thing about doing atkins is if you are hungry you can eat no matter what time it is

        congradulations that's really good. I cheated this weekend and it came back to haunt me, but now I know the concequences and i won't do it again, or I'll try not to. Good job. I hope you meet your goals as quickly has possible.

          I can relate to you, I´m also on extended induction and I´m hungry too. The thing is, I don´t have any more carbs left to eat and I don´t have a steak or something in the fridge that I can snack on. It´s expensive with meat and I can´t afford to eat so much of it, so I stick to the Atkins friendly food that isn´t too low in carbs but is a lot cheaper then steaks so as a result I often walk around hungry.

            Tuna's cheap and even comes in tear open pouches now. Chicken's fairly cheap. Eggs are ... well I dunno if they're "cheap", but you can get a dozen for $1. I'm not sayin' you should....but you can get mayo and mustard packets at fast food places, and make tuna salad, chicken salad, or deviled eggs for very little cash.

            You can also do celery and cream cheese for a cheap, filling snack. Olives are a bit more expensive, but I've seen store brands for $0.50 a can. Add in some block cheese and maybe pepperoni, and you're set for like $2.

            Wait for specials on fajitas, then have them without the tortilla. In fact, you can make just about any meal Atkins-friendly by just avoiding some of the stuff.

            Focus your energies on coming up with solutions, not ways to complain about your hurdles
