  • Pinched Sciatic nerve

I have one of these pinched nerves and I would rather have babies naturally all day then deal with this. I had cortizone injections into my leg and hip this past week and I was feeling great till today, now the backside is hurting again so I am guessing that I need an injection there as well lol.

This is prolly due to being overweight, but with Atkins, stretching and a mild workout I can overcome this. I also pocked up DANDR today for $4.00 at the used bookstore YAY!

    Joy,

I am sorry to hear about your pain. I know very well from experience how horribly dibilitating it can be as I have had a number of problems with a knee that I injured in 1998.

Congratulations on finally getting your DANDR. I am sure it will open your eyes tremendously.

We are constantly at war, I have found. We are at war everytime we go out of the house and face the strangers, 'experts', friends and even family who cannot accept that Atkins is a healthy way to change your life. The greatest enemy, however, isn't the one outside the home. The greatest enemy in my opinion is your own self doubt and uncertainty of this way of life (at least this was how I felt). When you have your DANDR and read it cover to cover, you are still going to war, but this time you have a weapon to help you defend yourself from some of the things that assault you.

    Enjoy your read.

Be careful with the pinched nerves. Thinking that a doctor would only blow me off because I am overweight - past experiences - I waited and waited before seeking help and when I finally found a good doc and went through some tests I was told I have permanent nerve damage. Another good reason to stay with this eating plan!

Weighed in on the doc's scale and have reset my goal and my ticker....

Well the doc never told me it was because of my weight, I just assumed that myself. It only started the first weekend in April. They fixed the side of my leg with the injections, but the rear is what is killing me lol...and it shoots pain down my side.

i work with chiropractors who adjust me regularly (like once a week)... have had sciatic problems since i was pregnant (my son will be 2 tomorrow). the adjustments really really help - can tell when i'm out of alignment cause the problems start up again. Also, for some odd reason, pilates make it feel better
