  • I'm Back!!!!

And bigger than ever! My gallbladder surgery is over, and I am able to eat more foods every day. I still have a little intenstinal problem but the surgeon and friends assure me this too will pass as my body get accustomed to no gall bladder.

During my illness and surgery I have eaten more than my fair share of carbs and my weight is showing it.

However, I am back on Induction and I am determined as never before to suceed this time. I have been lurking here and looking at before and after pictures, and I am pumped and ready to go.

Hard boiled eggs for breakfast, chicken and salad for lunch. I can't wait to get back into some of the clothes that were starting to get loose before!

My symptoms were pain in the right side, just below my bra line. I also would get nauseus eating certain foods. Fried foods bothered me alot. Two times I had an attack that I thought was my heart. I had pressure and tightening in my back and then started getting pain in my elbow. The one episode was so bad, I really should have gone to the ER. Both of those times were set off by hard boiled eggs with mayo.

I ended up having an agiogram because of the weird symptoms. It was fine. The sonagram didn't show any stones so I ended up having a HIDAscan. This were they shoot dye into your veins and watch the progress through your gallbladder and liver. My gall bladder was functioning at 24%. When they did the pathology report on the gallbladder after it was removed they found that I had a lot of tiny little stones. It would have been a matter of time before they got bigger and started backing up into my bile tract.

I was able to have the laperscopic procedure, it was a snap. I went home a couple hours after surgery and was only in pain for a day or two. After that I had to watch how I moved and couldn't lift anything over 15lbs for a while, but I'm so glad I had it done!
