  • Walk Away the Pounds

Well I started working out today. I did the 1 mile workout and it kicked my rear, but I felt good afterwards and moved on. Hopefully I will be able to move up to the 2 mile workout within the next month. I hear Taebo is great, would love to do it, but I am afarid my pinched nerve wont allow it.

Great job on getting thru the tape. Most days I can do the 1 mile now no problem but I remember when I started lol I could only get thru 8 mins!! Her whole set is awesome.

Keep it up!! It pays off in inches! *grin*

Cool for you. I thought the 1 mile was not really a mile and did it with a pedometer. You bet it is! But, I started doing it in the morning and then before bed, so then when I moved into the 2 mile, I was sometimes doing 4 a day. It gets really easy really soon. And you feel good about doing it, too. Good going :icondance

I did her two mile tape, and couldn't believe how fast I got through it, and how little it effected me. Then I tried to walk a two mile walk, and it nearly killed me. Its interesting that you compared it with a pedometer and it came out accurate. I really thought she was pulling my leg...wonder what the differance is then. ensive

Thats what happened to me. I can do the DVD's ( 1 and 2 mile) and some what get a work out out of them but when I walk on teh tread mill lol I am lucky to make it 15 mins with out dropping dead lol. I think its because we do a warm up and a cool down and change pace with those kicks and knee lifts. Makes ya wonder which is a better work out.

Yes I love it, just finished the mile workout and I did it before 10 am lol. I am hoping to be able to do the 2 mile within the next 2 weeks. Where can you purchase those balls? I am using canned goods lol.

I found the balls at the following links:

Hope that helps. Mine came with the full set I got at Amazon.com but you can buy them seperately at the links above. I am sure there are others these are just a few that I found.

I got my walk a way the pounds weights in a set last year at Target store. They came with the weights, a resistance band, and a nice pedometer.. You might also try looking on ebay.

I am a WATP fanatic! I started doing the tapes in Nov, and now I am running (and doing the tapes on rest days). I do about 1.5 miles when I run, and I am working up to 5k. I think the WATP really helped me prepare for the running (jogging)- I figure if I can move with weights for 45 minutes, I certainly can jog. I think the difference between her work outs and treadmil and jogging/walking is the incline. My living room floor is pretty flat, but there are some steady hills on my neighborhood route. On the days that I can only get the 1 mile in I now carry the weights for the whole thing. When I walk, I also carry the weights, and do little WATP like movements to increase the burn. Sad thing is, my 2 year old got ahold of the DVD and put a scratch in it, so the 2 mile doesn't work, and I usually could keep the kids occupied for 1/2 hour so that was the best one for me. I don't use the balls, just regular weights I bought at Target. The thing I want to do now is use the 3 lb weights. I haven't lost anything since January, but I know WATP helped me lose the last 15 of the 60 I have lost, and helped keep it off through June.Yay WATP!

yep I am still on the 1 mile cause of my pinched nerve, but I do it everyday and love it. It gets me motivated.
