    stretch marks

so unfortunately because of what I weigh, I recently ( like in the last month) developed very VERY visible stretch marks! Yuck! have any of you who have dropped >100 lbs had any luck with these going away?

they never go away.. but they change color overtime.. from purple to pink meaning the skin was stretched really bad or pink.. and then they turn like a silverish color or they will be colorless but you'll still see where they were like a indentation in the skin...

I heard these could be lasered off .. but that would be costly...

hang in there and do the best you can.. losing weight will stop you from getting more... I think once you get to where you wanna be these little marks will be the least on your mind

for me I think of them of reminders of where I've been and where I don't ever wanna go back to....

Yeah, they don't go away, but they do fade over time so they are not as noticable. I know some people have discussed variuos creams you can use that supposedly fade them, but I don't know if they really work or not.

I swear by Palmer's Cocoa Butter. It helps to fade old stretch marks and slow down the appearance of new ones.

there is a product you can purchase for stretch marks -- and I guarantee you, it works wonders. However, it is very costly (approx $150-200 retail) for a bottle. And, if you discontinue use, the stretch marks become visible again. It is concentrated and will last a few months (depending on how much area on your body you use it, that is). At any rate, it is called Strivectin. Have a read about it online. Again, it's a wonder product. If you decide to try it, look for it on e-bay. Much cheaper. Also, I hear there are generic brands which work just as well. Costly, still, but not nearly as bad.

When you stop using it, they re-appear?
