    yep some shoes are designed for ankles going at a certain outward slant and others for an inward slant. Some folk have narrow heels and some have wide toes. if the shoes don't fit your feet and running style you will need another body part to absorb the shock and being out of alinment at the same time wll you get the picture, ouch knees, shins, hips, backs

        thank you for this link aphex! It's just what i needed. I hope to run a 10K in november this year with my husband but i've got a long long way to go!
