Anybody else sick and tired of wearing baggy clothes? I know this is a good problem to have, but I'm sick of it! I'm sick of constantly tugging my pants up. I'm sick of feeling frumpy. I'm sick of not having that nice taylored, fitted look.

I have bought a few new pieces here and there, but have been trying to hold off for a bit on buying things. My next purchase is exercise pants. The last time I bought exercise pants I was about 90 lbs heavier. They look ridiculous on me.

Also, has anybody noticed that as you lose weight your pants get longer? I know its just that they are hanging different on me now, but not only do I have to wear baggy clothes, I have to wear baggy pants that are too long for me! :anger

    Oh, the issues of Atkins.

I know the feeling, but what is real cool is when you go buy something new everyone notices you have lost weight.

I shop at the Goodwill. I can't stand spending money. AND, I also hate low riding shorts and jeans.

What a dilema! I refuse to wear baggy clothes, but I am also frugal, so I buy a few items for work (office dressy) that I really like and which are fitted to show off my progress. For at home wear, I have bought used or dug around in my stash (I am a pack rat.) I also keep a couple of pair of well fitting jeans and replace the undies as the sizes change. I look for bargains, but try to be particular and get things I like and not just because it is a good sale. I also pick up bargains I find and like that are a size or 2 too small and have shrunk into many items.

Oh, and the pants definitely get longer.

Enjoy the changes and roll with it!

Have you tried buying elastic waist pants? I think they will last a longer despite the fact that you are shrinking!

Though I am currently loving this "problem"

I don't have that problem yet this time around, but I've always gone to resale/consignment shops in the past. You can sell your "gently used" clothes that are too big and buy new ones that fit.

I am currently having the same problem. People keep saying you need to buy new clothes or take that off and let me have that it is too big for you. I have given away so many clothes. To replace them, I shop at consignment shops and the Goodwill. If I find things on clearence at other places I pick those things up. Now, I have clothes that fit for the most part. I have began picking up a size smaller so when I get there I'm not faced with the same issues. Good luck in finding clothes that fit the new you!

                Re - trousers getting longer.

I had a lovely stretch pair of purple/pink taffeta 3/4 length trousers with a silly beaded fringe on the bottom (it's amazing what you can find on eBay...). I used to squeeeeeeze into them, using up all the stretch. They just about fit me at size 26, but now I am size 18 and I still wear them, except now they hang on me instead of stretching round them, and the beads that used to dangle around the top of my calves now get stuck in my shoes when I walk!

My best tip for getting free smaller clothes?

Tell tubby but smaller-than-you friends and relations about Atkins and then they pass all their too-big-for-them clothes to you when they start shrinking. I have more clothes now than I've ever had in my life using this tactic :yes

I don't know about pants getting too long, but my sleeves are WAY to long on some shirts. It was really irritating in Winter. But such a good irritating!

I noticed the pants I'm wearing today are droopier than the last time I wore then. It's a good sign though, since the scale isn't moving for me. Fortunately, by the time I lose another 25 pounds, if that ever happens, I have clothes in my closet that will fit me. I'll be good to go until I get down to about a sixteen. Then I'll need to start shopping again.

Have you guys considered making trades and donations on ADBB? If someone needs some size 24 you can send them your old clothes and if you need a size 18 someone can send you theirs?? Just a thought?
