    Hey all.

I have been gone for a while, lurking and reading but not posting and not following any sort of program.

Life has been tough but I finally decided that it is time to SH$% or get off the pot. I am done with excuses. I may not have the money to buy exactly what I need to do it but that doesn't give me the free pass to not exercise, eat the mashed potatos instead of a second helping of salad or meat, or to forget my water.

I came to this decision 2 days ago but didn't want to come here until I made a true effort with it. I have modified my eating to OWL (can't afford to eat all the way to Induction cuz it would mean 2 sets of groceries). I have been drinking water like a fish. I have "moved" each day, may not be full on hour of aerobics and muscle training, but it is a start.

I have been rewarded with a 6# weight loss. With all of the water I have been drinking, I am pretty sure it isn't just water-loss.

Thanks for putting up with my ups and downs. I will try to get a before pic up soon. And a before-before or "goal" of where I want to get back to.

    Good luck to all

Great job getting started back, and figuring out what works for you. I also, tend to make excuses for behaving badly because I have to live within other peoples meal plans... at least for now! I am encouraged by you... be around, okay?

Well welcome back to the party! Congrats on taking those steps toward better health. You can do it. Yea I can relate to the multi meal deal being tough. I have a picky eating child. She eats separate all the time.

You can do it! Those ideas of drinking the water and skipping the potatoes and having more veggies is perfect.

:wave Good idea, to monitor and modify until you can easily move into other areas. If you sit and work it out, you realize you don't have many excuses left.

Good work on the 6 lbs :yes

          Hi Amarie :wave

I'm back after wandering off for a while myself. All that matters is that you are here and you are doing your best.

You know you're going to feel so much better now that you are back.

It's great to see you again.

Congrats on moving back to better health! I can so sympathize with the expense thing. Our grocery bill has pretty much doubled now that I cook differant for myself. DH just won't stick to this WOE, and son can't. But thankfully so far we are able to afford it.

Keep it up, you're doing great!
